Often times a customer will come to us needing something more ambitious than they would normally be able to afford. We’re usually able to make it happen anyway.
One thing we like to do is make solutions that fit a general case, rather than a specific case. This way we can sell the initial solution to the client at a very low price–sometimes even a loss!–and market it later to make up the difference.
For example, if a lawyer wants a way to keep track of how much time he spends in court with his clients, we might write a general time tracking application that a manager could also use to determine how many hours his employees are working.

ArtPal is a tool aimed at artists that allows them to sell their work online via PayPal. It interfaces with Wordpress, a content management system, and keeps track of all artwork that is available and sold–so you don’t have to. You just post the artwork once, and it does the rest. And best of all, it works in real time, so you’ll never have to worry about selling a piece of artwork twice and having to write an apologetic email to the second buyer; as soon as it sells, the ability to buy it is gone!

If you upload a picture with most of your blog posts, then this is for you. PostsByImage lets a user scroll through all of your posts simply by looking at the pictures that you’ve placed in them. If an artist, for example, puts a picture of her latest artwork at the top of every post, a reader can then peruse her posts by viewing pictures of all of the artwork. Pictures link to their respective, full-text posts.
